of what used to be the dog-proof fence, along a ridge then lunch on top
with a

Lane to the locked gate and walk, mainly on fire trails to this grassy
peak for
lunch. There should be spectacular views. Not a long day, estimate

A walk
to two
Budawang mountains from the Nerriga locked gate, partly on fire trails
but also
with some scrub and short rock scrambles. The probable camp site is
beside
Grassy Ck, about 7km from the cars; we can visit the summits, one each
on
Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning, with day packs. Good views from
the clifftops,
and the masses of orchids on Square Top’s cliffs should be in

we’ll
go up Kaliana Ridge and along the base of the Castle to camp at Cooyoyo
Creek
for two nights. In the afternoon we’ll ascend The Castle,

We’ll proceed to Monolith Valley and Mt Owen and if time
permits complete the
circuit around Mt Cole, Seven Gods Pinnacle and The Green Room. Mon:
we’ll
return to the cars via Kaliana Ridge and should be back in Canberra

This walk over 2 days traverses the length of Royal National Park and covers about 27 km. Depart Fri evening and stay overnight at Keiraleagh House backpackers in Wollongong. Early Sat morning we drive to Otford and catch the train to Cronulla and the board ferry to Bundeena. From Bundeena we walk to the Garie Beach YHA and stay overnight. Sun we walk out to Otford. Would
anyone like to
participate in an exploration of the Bogong peaks? This area used to be
famous
for bad scrub, but now it is probably at least no worse than Namadgi.

new walk starts
from the Bendora car park on Mt Franklin Rd, goes on the arboretum and
then
down to Warks Road, where we soon leave the track and follow a ridge
through
open forest to a pleasant knoll for lunch. Return via a long disused
logging
road, overgrown in places, to Warks Road, thence to the cars. Expect
about 5hrs

sheltered valley far enough to enjoy the different feel of the Main
Range when
its glazed with snow, looking across to the high range of
Disappointment Spur
and Gungartan’s summit. Suitable for trying your
‘hand’ on snow without the

and Sunday nights during the long weekend. We will do three day walks

by Jeff B, tentatively Pardon Pt above Ettrema Gorge (S/R), Camp Rock

with optional extension (rough) to Island Mtn overlooking Holland
Gorge, and
either Crossroads Pass varied from last year (M/M) or Round Mtn (S/R).
The
bunkhouse holds six. Others can use tents but all can use stove,
refrigerator

conglomerate cliffs and overhangs and views to the nearby Tabletop
Mountain and
